Our target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the widely accepted standard for content that’s perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.
What we do
- Semantic, keyboard-navigable markup, with a logical focus order and visible focus states.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images and icons.
- Color contrast checked in both light and dark themes; we never rely on color alone to convey meaning.
Where we’re still improving
Mask.ID uses several custom interface elements — our own dialogs, tooltips, and controls — in place of the browser defaults. Custom components are where accessibility gaps most often hide, so we treat them as a standing area of review, not a solved problem.
