Everything a member pays for is paid in PIV, from your own Mask.ID wallet — top it up, then pay in the app. No credit card form, no payment processor, no company in the middle. It’s the same rails you’d use to tip a member you trust.
Nothing recurring, nothing that auto-renews — anything a member pays is a one-time choice, made deliberately. And you never need to buy, hold, or even think about cryptocurrency to use the free features.

The Attestation API lets your site read a member’s trust data — with the member’s consent, never their identity. Endpoints, scopes, and privacy rules live on the API page; the pricing lives here.
Today, during the pilot, the entire API is free and keyless — verification, webhooks, and the subject read. Building against it? We’d like to hear from you (Contact form in the footer) — early integrators get the founding-site terms below.
When API keys ship, pricing will meter monthly active verified members: a verified member counts in a month only if your site read their data or received an attestation webhook for them that month — lifecycle notices never bill. Dormant members cost nothing, and revoked members drop out automatically. Individual reads are never metered — fresh data is the point, so polling is encouraged, not taxed. Numbers below are the intended schedule and may be refined before keys ship.

- The free tier is the full API. Every scope, both delivery modes, no branding requirements — small sites are the point, not a funnel.
- No hard caps. Outgrowing a tier upgrades you to the next one and notifies you; your members’ trust data never goes dark mid-month.
- Discounts. Annual prepay saves 15%. Paying in PIV saves 10% — invoiced in USD, converted at the market rate at payment time.
- Founding sites. The first integrators get the Growth tier free for their first year, plus a listing in the “Works with Mask.ID” directory.
- Community tier. Sites in the privacy and security space that earn no revenue and run on volunteers and donations, may be eligible to use the API free, beyond the standard 100-member tier. For details, contact our Business Development Lead through the — topic “Partnership”.
